Netball Court Specialists is a fast-paced team sport, played on a rectangular court by two teams of seven players. The primary objective of the game is to shoot a ball through the opponent’s goal ring. The sport has a high participation rate among girls and women and is one of the few sports created specifically for females. It is played on outdoor courts and indoor arenas.
Sprung Synthetic Surfaces for Netball
The permeability of these hard-wearing systems allow water to drain through the surface, preventing flooding and other damage to the system. The systems can be used for a variety of games including football, netball and tennis.
Line markings can also be sprayed onto the surface in a range of bright colours to differentiate between the separate sports on a MUGA facility. This helps to create a more distinct identity for each sport and increases player awareness of their surroundings.
Charterhouse School
S&C Slatter were proud to deliver a new netball court construction and re-colour coating project at Charterhouse School, set within an impressive 250-acre campus in Surrey. The project was part of the school’s commitment to promote participation in sports at all levels and coincided with the school becoming fully co-educational from 2021.
The re-surfacing was completed using Laykold Advantage, a popular acrylic netball surface that offers great durability and a wide choice of colours. The courts were finished to Netball 75 grip standards and were complemented by the installation of LED floodlighting, perimeter fencing and sporting equipment for netball and tennis.
